Welcome to SCHOOL
SOLUTIONS, a consulting practice which I formed in 2004 after a twenty-five year
career in public and private schools in Texas. As an educational consultant, I have worked with families to guide or place students in more than 75 Houston area day schools. I recently expanded
my practice to include placement in traditional boarding schools. SCHOOL SOLUTIONS assists families in
making informed decisions and successful day and boarding school placement for their children. As your educational consultant,
I can help you (1) select a list of schools, (2) guide you through the admission process,
and (3) advocate for your child with admission directors. This is an exciting time to be an educational consultant because brain research is
revealing so much about how children learn, and good schools are responding. I was fortunate to be a teacher when we discovered
how to tap into the potential of students who had been labeled "slow" or "lazy" or "disruptive".
I now see excellent schools where students with all kinds of minds are welcomed and can be successful. As a member of The Greater Houston Partnership Education and Strategic
Planning Committee, I fully support public education. As an educational consultant, I have no bias for public or private schools.
My goal is to find the school that fits the family, student and school. |

An effective educational consultant values
the strengths and potential within each student. SCHOOL SOLUTIONS can help families quickly focus their search to
identify schools where a student's academic strengths, learning styles, unique abilities, extra-curricular interests, and
social, emotional and physical development will flourish.
Houston private schools are similar in some ways, but
vastly different in others. State and national legislation and shifting demographics can impact the quality of instruction
and focus of the curriculum at a public school. School culture and programs can change with a new principal or school
board. Admission practices may change with a new director. It takes time to learn about and build relationships with
schools. That is the role of an educational consultant.
As a Professional member of the Independent
Educational Consultants Association, I am the only educational consultant specializing in Greater
Houston private schools for students of all ages and abilities.

Every child is unique. They learn differently. They
socialize differently. They have different dreams. They all deserve a school
where they can thrive.
